GET THE LOOK | SPRING THEMED NAIL ART

Thursday, March 03, 2016

Winter seems to always be the longest season of the year in Canada, aaaand it's quite annoying! Don't get me wrong as I appreciate the beauty winter brings, but dislike the bland colors and always being cold! I love seeing fun bright colors, and just glad spring will be approaching soon ... hopefully. Being a Canadian, I am well aware of the bi-polar weather so I won't count on it approaching entirely soon. I decided to amp things up with some colorful nail art, because I get bored of dark colors quickly. I appreciate all color schemes, but my favorite is bright, fun and colorful! I love these spring themed nails I came up with, as they make me look forward even more to upcoming spring/summer seasons. I love seeing flowers bloom, and seeing all the beautiful colors nature brings!

I began by applying 2 coats of China Glaze Plur-ple, sealed with a quick dry topcoat and waited for that to dry. To amp things up, I applied 1 coat of Femme Fatale Cosmetics polish in the shade 'Spangled Starlight' glitter polish. I prepped the skin surrounding my cuticles with my very own dark purple Easy Peel Latex Barrier, and let that dry. I used Uber Chic's stamping plate 1-02, and Moyou London stamping polish in 'Banana Ice'. I wasn't entirely impressed with the pigmentation, as it's looking more white than yellow. To stamp the image to my nail I used Born Pretty Store's frosted clear jelly stamper, which has recently easily become my favorite stamper! I took the pointy end of an orange wood stick, and gently ran it along the cuticle to separate any polish. With tweezers I began remover the Easy Peel, and topped off with a quick dry topcoat!
